It's their job to fund and sort out their problems and make the place a good one for those who have commercial interests, not go around demanding others pay for their policing/immigration issue. If they need £7.8M then they should go ask the French taxpayer to build up their public kitty.

Can someone explain to me why they don't apply for asylum in France? Why don't the French do something about them entering France in the first place? Why is it always our problem?

Agreed. France is now reaping the benefits of EU open borders policy. EU needs to reinforce it's Borders to prevent ingress by illegal immigrants.

that's what I'm talking about jno, the mayor of Calais seems to think we are obligated to help them out. They and the whole EU needs to control it's borders and start implementing their own laws. Can anyone tell me why they don't just deport them to whence they came or accept their application for asylum. The problem should not exist if France etc all got together and enforced the current EU law. Typical Frogs, let the problem get out of control then scream for the Brits to bail them out.

As usual the EU is looking toward the UK yet ore fnding for their failed EU project.

The sooner we get out of the EU (and stop subscribing to the ECHR) the better.


But dont expect things to change soon with the limp wristed librals holding all the cards. They will probably want all the immigrants in so they can give them nice houses, cars and houndouts to send back to their famillies to ecourage more to come.

perhaps if we arrested the English people in Calais who are aiding and abetting the immigrants it might discourage them from their desperate scramble to get here. They doubtless think that everyone in England is as gullible as the do-gooders they meet there. Saying that, if they do make it here, turns out everyone,in authority, is.
