With UKIP's popularity growing, do you see a point between now and the next General Election, where a national newspaper comes out in support of the party?
If so - which paper do you think will be first out of the gate?
I've always found it odd that the Daily Mail hasn't thrown it's weight behind the party as the paper's stance on so many areas dove-tails perfectly with UKIP.

I'm surprised aog is quoting the YouGov survey as it is a pretty embarrassing summary for UKIP supporters and their party.
And also for the Lib Dems as a matter of fact as it illustrates how much of their support in the past - in byelections certainly - was a protest vote.
To answer the question, no of course none of the main papers are going come out in support of UKIP before the election. It would be rather rash to throw your weight behind an organisation that by its own admission has gagged its own party officials in the run up to todays election in case they "sounded too UKIP-y" The phrase "couldn't make it up" is overused here but I think it is called for in this case :-)

The phrase you referred to was 'genocide' - and you did not use it in its correct meaning according to the dictionary.

Almost everything Farage says about immigration is a lie.
He encourages the idea that Britain is "swamped" by immigrants, which is untrue, that there are a large number of EU migrants on benefits, which percentage terms is also untrue, that they are a drain on the nations resources, also untrue (a strain admittedly in some areas)
He's cashing in on xenophobia and some people's pessimism (as well as the implosion of the usual party of protest).
Even that would not be a disaster, but his party is a disaster area in terms of policy. It is very unfair that they will not get the representation in Parliament their support calls for, but then the great British public voted against electoral reform so ...

It would be silly to ignore the fact that Daily Mail readers are broadly in favour of UKIP, and that UKIP policies broadly follow the agenda of the Mail.
I can't really say anything about the Express, because I've literally never read it, however, I've been told that it's a bit like the Mail, but for people who are obsessed with the weather, cancer and Princess Diana.
It would be silly to ignore the fact that Daily Mail readers are broadly in favour of UKIP, and that UKIP policies broadly follow the agenda of the Mail.

ichkeria do you base your opinions of Farage on the sound bites offered up by the BBC , or by going to Party conferences and listening to the actual speeches he makes? Do you make assumptions about UKIP based on the popular Press cherry picking morsels that will 'enrage' the left wing element? Or have you actually read the manifesto? You couldn't make it up -the popular press does a jolly good job of it.
Retrochic....in defence of Farage, I have seen him interviewed on every TV station on the English-speaking planet, and he never fails to give the same impression. But its this same impression that is his undoing I'm afraid.
He reminds me of a particularly awful Manager I once had in BT. I was the Union Rep and after quite a heated exchange of views over important safety matters, he lost his temper and accused me of trying to make a fool of him.
I calmly replied that he was making a perfectly good job in that department himself, without any assistance from me.

I think that there is an answer, and it is this:
An ideal and statesmanlike solution would be for Farage to field no candidates at the next election, instead urging those sympathetic to UKIP policies to vote Tory. Job done, then at the subsequent election they can come back with a vengeance to wipe out the Camoblairites.
