People just don't realise do they, 3Ts. Having to go down the pub on a Friday lunchtime. Whatever next!?
my oh went on line at 12.01 and couldn't get on one site doing black friday .
Just don't drive back from the Pub TTT !

By the way, can I sing the praises of Lidls sandwiches ? I buy one once or twice a week. The BLT is delicious and only costs £1.54.

it's a dirty job judge.......
Given how badly the pub trade is doing these days, perhaps shoppers should be forcing you down to your local pub more often?

I never drink and drive mikey, see my previous posts on the subject. If there was a Lidl round here I'd try it!

Glad to hear it TTT. We will soon be in the D+D season, which frightens me every year.

You don't have a Lidl near you ? My god....I didn't think you lived in the Outer Hebrides !
Lidl's tend to concentrate in the lower class and deprived areas mikey and errrr Swansea.!!!!!
09 40 bit early for lunch innnit ?
Do you work in the City ?
Black Friday at Asda! Just been to do my weekly shop and ours was very well organised. People there for black Friday in a queue, being let in ten at a time, didn't see the offers so they must have been in one area. Customers like me, just wanting usual shop, went in as normal. All very British, at least at ours.
Are they from Benefits Street? I'd hate to be associated with these type of people, OH by the way, I am working class.
They're next door to Sainsbury's here in Truro, retro....maybe the whole city is 'deprived' and lower class. Sorry, a mistake, that's Redruth. Rory McGrath left for Cambridge Uni and the average IQ of Redruth went down by 20 points.
They were coming out with big TVs, a child's playhouse and various other electrical goods. Probably good value if you need that sort of thing but I don't. I don't think they'd like to be referred to as from Benefit Street, they just like a bargain like most people.

Here in leafy Surrey one sends one's man to Fortnum and Mason or as a last resort Waitrose. Never to that awful Sainsburys. And as for Lidls and Audis. Well those Johnny foreigner establishments are enough to give one the vapours. :-)
"Lidl's tend to concentrate in the lower class and deprived areas..."

That ain't necessarily so, retro. They've recently opened a branch in Sevenoaks and whilst that area may not be quite as affluent as parts of leafy Surrey, "lower class and deprived" are not words I would use to describe the area:

http://uk.ask.com/wiki/Sevenoaks?lang=en

"Sevenoaks, like much of West Kent, is characterised by high levels of economic activity and a skilled resident workforce, together with a large proportion of that workforce commuting to their places of employment. Those factors, however, led to high house prices and pressure on the local area to build yet more houses. Many of those houses attract high prices, making it difficult for poor people to live there... One description given is that the area in general is "cash rich but service poor".
// Lidl's tend to concentrate in the lower class and deprived areas mikey //

True, there's five of them on my street.
One just opened yesterday in Belfast High Street.
Thanks for enlightening me on Sevenoaks (that was 7 oaks) NJ.
I rather hoped I wouldn't have to quote the title of this topic to any ABers. My comment was tongue in cheek as you may have read my further post. It was said to wind up a certain Londoner who thinks he is more Welsh than Shirley Bassey.
what's wrong with people who are short of money trying to snap up a bargain?

If you prefer to shop online, your big chance will come on Cyber Monday
