Talbot - "when he was cut adrift from the security blanket of fame and fortune, his inability to cope naturally exacerbated his mental health issues, and he remains a pathetic lost shadow of his former self.
I do hope them sort of thoughts never manifested into actual words when you were speaking to someone who had rang the Samaritans for help, andy?
(You have mentioned being a Samaritan?)"
Why would they?
As a Samaritan, I adopted the same approach to anyone and everyone i dealt with - I offered nin-judgemental sympathy and empathy because that is the role of the counsellor - and believe me, when you heard some of the things I heard, maintaining that constant level of sympathy and empathy was stretched beyond breaking point.
But that was then, and more importantly- there.
Here I am an AB'er like anyone else, and I don't have to park my opinions at the front door for four hours, i can express them here in a debate, like anyone else.
Would I even dream of voicing my opinions to either Mr Balotelli or Mr Gascoigne were i to meet them face to face? No I would not.
I hope that clears up any misunderstanding.
