Good point, well made AOG!

/// When are the UKIP's supporters on AB going to admit that they have thrown their hat in with a complete shambles of a political party ? ///

I bet you have got through a few hats in your time mikey, supporting your shamble of a party, or would they be 'flat caps'?
I agree ! I find AOG's entries, moderate logical and above all based on fact
Why are there people on here that are defending this shower ?

UKIP is an anti-immigration and anti-Europe Party. If those are people views, why not support the Tory Party instead ? I simply can't understand you right wingers at all. You can get all you want by voting in the Tories again, including a referendum on whether we remain in Europe, the Holy Grail of all right wingers. but instead you choose to defend and support a party that has made a complete fool of itself over the last 7 days, and will not win the election next May, even if they do get a few more seats than their current
(borrowed ) two.
The majority of the Tory party may be anti-Europe but the leadership isn't, hence the attraction of UKIP.
But UKIP is not going to win next May, and therefore won't be able to bring about the Referendum that these people so desperately want........so what is the point of voting for them ? dave has said that he will have a Referendum if elected next year.
AOG...are you a UKIP supporter or not ? Or are you just anti-everything.
mikey,
No, they won't win but when are you going to wake up to the fact that on current form they may well hold the balance of power, as acknowledged by most political pundits?

Chili...see my recent post on the new Electoralcalculus update.....UKIP still being discounted by the professionals. To quote the new update :::

"UKIP are not currently predicted to win many seats, so they are not yet a factor in coalition permutations"
mikey,
So by your rationale I take it you voted for Mrs Thatcher in the first election after the Falklands conflict, because Labour had zero chance of winning that one, yes?
mikey4444

/// Why are there people on here that are defending this shower ? ///

"Shower" ???? there you go again being offensive to those you don't like, I thought you lefties were against anyone being offensive?

/// UKIP is an anti-immigration and anti-Europe Party. ///

Wrong again UKIP is against uncontrolled immigration, and wish for our country to rule itself by not controlled by a European state.

/// If those are people views, why not support the Tory Party instead ? I simply can't understand you right wingers at all. You can get all you want by voting in the Tories again, including a referendum on whether we remain in Europe, the Holy Grail of all right wingers. ///

Can't you understand that the 3 political parties that have ruled this country for years have now become so close in their politics that one could get a cigarette paper between them (that is of course if such papers are not controlled by the state)

That is where UKIP get their strength and support from they are prepared to listen to the people, tackle the real problems and work for the people of this county not just those overseas.

/// but instead you choose to defend and support a party that has made a complete fool of itself over the last 7 days, ///

Only over the last 7 days? Then there is no problem there the other parties have made a living making a fool of themselves over many years (and very much worse when you look into their records.)

/// and will not win the election next May, even if they do get a few more seats than their current (borrowed ) two. ///

Then you have nothing to worry about then, so why do you lose so much sleep over them, no one on here is so much afraid of UKIP as you mikey.

Why is my post 'an anti-Daily Mail rant'?

Furthermore, you highlight what you think is an anti Daily Mail post, and then you carp when people don't attack the Daily Mail.

It seems...odd.

Some might say that you want it both ways, simply so you have a platform on which to complain.

I think those people are wrong personally, but you see where that idea could come from, right?
Chilldoubt may have a point. I could see a point after the next General Election, where UKIP hold the balance of power and demand an immediate referendum in order to give whichever larger party its support.

However, what then happens if the country votes to remain in the EU?

NO-one seems to ever think about that.

What happens to UK if the country votes 'Yes' (to staying in)?
AOG

You accuse mikey4444 of making a reference to the Nazis, and then challenge him to defend that position without hearing confirmation, effectively answering for him.

When I read the 1933 bit, I immediately thought of Oswald Moseley, rather than the Nazis.

Also, UKIP is not a new party. It's over 20 years old.

It's been around since before the Internet, before the iPhone, before the birth of most of the members of One Direction.

The SDP was a genuinely young party - we never had any of these stories about them!
...and before anyone starts nit-picking, I mean 'the popular use of the Internet', not 'the invention of the Internet'.
SP...Oswald Moseley is indeed the person I had in mind, not Mr Hitler.
No not more scaremongering & hysteria, Nazi - Oswald - conical hats
How odd though that you both claim to have conjured up an image of Oswald Mosley when seeing the year 1933 when nothing really significant in Mosley's life/timeline occurred in that year.
Given methyl and Canary's propensity for comparing UKIP to the formation of the Nazi Party in 1933 and the very significance of that year I have to ask you both, do you believe we were born yesterday?
I am reminded of a recent newspaper cartoon, that had Farage getting into a London Cab. The Cab driver asks him where he wanted to go and Farage replied ::

"1957, and be quick about it ! "
