I am surprised that this thread just seems to focus on Germany. The fuse has been fizzing in towns and cities in most European countries. Either the governments listen to the protests against Islamificati on and quench the fuse or they put their fingers in their ears, stick their heads up their arris rails and wait for the explosion. It is a fact that Christian...

Thank you - lunch was hurried, but delicious (Sainsbury's New York salt beef sarnie).
It was an honest mistake - I didnt 'see' vetuste_ennemi's leading question.
My answer - if you sling mud, you REALLY need to wash your hands before getting on your high horse.
A mealy-mouthed response, but three metaphors for the price of one!

How times are changing, it's a joy to read these answers to a problem I have been warning about since almost the time I came on to AnswerBank and suffered being branded Bigot, Xenophobic, racist, Islamophobic, and Fascist etc, etc. for the privilege.
/// I'm sure that like most people, we all recognise at there is a world of difference between your everyday Muslim, and the rabid poppy-burners. ///
Would you care to point these "every day" Muslims out sp, or are they the ones that can't be seen to burn poppies?

/// AOG
Honestly - not a single person whom I have debated with on this thread has ever called you any of those pejorative terms. ///
And where have I said that they had? I was just pointing out that many on AB are coming round to address the problem of Islam and are not afraid of those outdated weapons of the Left or of those who dish these insults out..

None of my best friends are Muslim.
I have close Muslim friends (and a few whose weddings I've been to), but none of my closet friends are Muslim.
To be honest - I don't know what you're getting at. Most of the Muslims I've known growing up remind me (in general outlook) of the Siddique family (Gogglebox), rather than Abu Hamza...
...but then as I've said before, I grew up in a very mixed area, so my impression of Muslims is as individuals, rather than as 'a group'.

I watched this on the Europe news late last night.
There was no violence and I agree with their protest, and it wont be long before it spreads to other Country's.
I am sick and tired of reading or watching what the Muslims keep on talking about their Sharia Law, and the amount of Mosques being allowed to be built in the UK.
Just Google or look on YouTube ''12 year old girl stoned to death for being raped ''
The Governments eyes are closed!!!!!

sp, one thing I want to clarify with you. You said // Ah...this is about fundamentalism. //, but you seem to be confusing the word ‘fundamentalist’ with ‘extremist’. All Muslims who believe that the Koran is the irrefutable word of Allah are fundamentalists. That doesn’t make them ‘extremists’ – but that is what you’re defending. As I said, if push ever came to shove ….. pull the ladder up Jack – my chum Mohammed is alright!
Very disappointed in your ‘mealy-mouthed response’. Can’t help thinking you’re reluctant to confess you’ve been tripped up – but I could be wrong.

To start Muslims, if they intend to Intergrate let them do so by putting their house in Order, the elders have the power, use it, people are sick to death of pussy footing around the Subject, there is a problem but what happens, something is reported your views are either Printed or deleted, is the UK not a free state? or have the Muslims more freedom that us? I have my own views, if you don't like the way the UK works in Law, Religion, Xmas Carols, The J that was in the Jam Jars before you came here, you have a choice, it was your choice to come here, it was the UK that welcomed you, if you do not like it, there are plenty of flights out.
I haven't been tripped up!
vetuste_ennemi pulled me in as 'AB's resident expert on racism' or words to that effect. I answered the second part of the question, but missed the first part.
I've tried to answer all points put on this thread honestly and sometimes with a degree of humour - it's all part of my New Year's resolution and to try and be as dispassionate as possible when dealing with people with whom I disagree here.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will catch on.
