Dress it up however you like, it was a snide comment about the actions of the SAS and you know it.
It was a mistake, I admitted that. I apologised.

There isn't really much else I can do. When news is changing minute by minute, then mistakes happen. You make errors too.

As you appear to only want to post a redacted view I feel it only fair to give 'the bigger picture':

As I said, snide and unapologetic to those who showed tremendous skill and courage that day.

Must try harder Gromit.
Chill,
Fair enough to disagree with me, but please do not keep lying. I did not abuse the Sydney Special Forces. I need not need to apologise to tem because I said nothing about them. I did not pillor them. I apologised for my error about the Iranian seige. My post were not redacted, I printed my apology. My full contribution to that post follows

Hostages dead. Not a good result.
------
The SAS' finest hour, the Iran Embassy Siege resulted in a death of an hostage from friendly fire.
---------
// Gromit's disdain for HM Forces is rather obvious, as is his palpable empathy for terrorists. That he's a Mod doesn't really reflect well on this site with that last post of his. //

Yep, I have the power to remove that Libel. But I won't.
--------
I do need to correct my statement. Stories of the death of the Iranian hostage by friendly fire appear to be untrue, put out by Iran propaganda. The inquest concluded rightly that the bullets were fired by the Iraqi terrorists.
--------
I apologise for introducing the idea that their was a friendly fire incident during the Iranian embassy seige. My intention was not to mislead ABers, it was a genuine misremembering of the incident. I should have fact checked before I posted, and now regret that I didn't, as it now looks foolish.
-------------

Your constant claim that I am on the side of the terrorists is a calumny. The more you say a false statement, does not make it true.

But you'd rather pillory the Police/Special Forces(to whom you still can't bring yourslef to apologise to) than the terrorists, that's patently obvious, hence the condemnation you got from other AB'ers in the links I posted.

As I'll say again, keep dressing it up however you like, you're pretty transparent on this one.
I have not pilloried the police or special forces. Could you please stop lying. If you are going to make such a serious allegation, at least make some effort to substantiate it.
I have asked several times where I pilloried the Sydney Police/SF on that thread. I have even printed all my posts which show I didn't abuse them. But you keep insisting I did.
Question Author
Keep trying......
No.
I've had enough of this nonsense. Your ability to keep tellig lies is unfortunate.
