Looks like crocodile tears to me. Good job he's IT illiterate or he may never have been caught.
As you say,... he's still got fans? Where?
The bit about the platform heels and the cowboy boots is a bit weird.

Sympathy,
No, not a lot!
No sympathy.

Where did he move to after his was convicted last time?
Lock him up and throw away the key. No sympathy at all.
Creep !
Am I a fan of his music? Absolutely.

I think it is important to separate the art from the artist.

Have I any sympathy for him today?

None whatever.
On this particular topic most people save their sympathy for Jackson...
Talbot - "On this particular topic most people save their sympathy for Jackson..."

Do you mean Michael Jackson?

Why is he deserving of sympathy - if indeed that is your point?
Difference is, Talbot, MJ was never found guilty of anything.

Can he be getting a fair trial? No matter that the judge will direct the jury to disregard what they may already know about him, will his 'previous', which is firmly in the public domain, count against him?
He isn't and as for my point you always say you don't get them. No big deal.
Aah, yes , Michael Jackson.

As a man in his 40s, he shared his bed with young children who were visiting his home ... because he loved children.

Nothing weird at all about that.

I'm sure any parent would have been happy for their child to spend the night in bed with a 40 year old man.

Especially someone perfectly normal, and not at all weird, like Michael Jackson.

That 'Excuse' always gets wheeled out , ummmm.

Anyway back to Glitter.
Talbot - "He isn't and as for my point you always say you don't get them. No big deal."

I am still curious though.

It appears that you perceive that Gary Glitter is seen by the public as a horrible individual, and that Michael Jackson is deserving of sympathy - is that your point - regardless of whether you personally feel that Jackson deserves any sympathy that may have been directed towards him?
MJ was not guilty of anything.

He just shared his bed with children.

And the family of the kid who gave the prosecutors a description of MJ's private parts accepted a large payment from the Jackson family, and withdrew their complaint, which proves just how not guilty MJ was.
From one creepy bloke to another. Media URL: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RfZcRIBhc3g
Description:
the parents seemed not to do anything about it, JJ, so you may be right. Of course they are richer now.

I have no sympathy for Glitter, but I don't see much point in frothing at the mouth about it: he's on trial, so the matter is in hand.
Yeah, I know, but that's one of the reasons his fans stand by him (or used to) I think he's guilty.

Andy...I find it very hard to separate the music from the artist. I wouldn't willingly listen to Gary Glitter....or MJ.
