Was he unwise? Probably - D&G are already known as tax evaders...they really don't need to add this to their resume.

And I totally don't think that Elton or anyone else should boycott Dolce & Gabbana. I suspect that in the short term, this will result in a small dip in sales in their diffusion line, but main line and diffusion isn't where they make their big money - it's in the perfume line, and I doubt the ordinary man or woman in the street really gives two hoots about this argument.

Elton and David look happy but to me they are both a little old to be parents of young children. I know there are nannies etc but they are still dad and dad.

As Ludwig says - it's all about nothing. I wonder if Elton and David will be throwing out their D&G handbags and manbags - or they could sell them for a good cause.

I checked the Sun. They didn't go with the 'Synthetic heir' headline, but they did have a photo of Elton carrying Dolce & Gabbana bag the day after he'd called for the boycott.
It must have been an old one, and he just had his sandwiches in it or something.

After "Shuddup You Face" topped the charts in 1980, Joe Dolce's career has gone steadily downhill: sad really.
I'll certainly be boycotting them in future. Should save me a small fortune :-)
