Actually, I didn't insult you, I ridiculed your viewpoint, which is not the same thing.
And in response to your point - this is not 'typical behaviour' of Muslims - and there is nothing in the report to suggest that this man is a Muslim.
If he turned out to be an extreme believer of another faith - Sikism for example, your statement would collapse.
That is why I take issue with sweeping unfounded statements - but I only take issue with the statement, not with you.

His statement is based on a sweeping statement without thought, or evidence, castigating an entire faith on the basis of the bizarre behaviour of (possibly but not proven!) one of its adherents.

Difficult......very difficult.....but i need to come down on the opinions and post of andy-hughes.
Islam is a club, it has it's rules.........rigid and inflexible as they seem and most Muslims are brought up obeying the rules of such a club. Christianity and Catholicism are also clubs whose rules seem to be "watered down" obeyed and disobeyed by convenience.
Schools have rules......again diluted by modern thinking and ideas.
Jehovah witnesses ...."brain washed " from birth as have most beliefs ...difficult to debate and modify.
Homosexuality........difficult for the older generation to accept as it was regarded as "dirty", illegal and perverted.
All these examples are human trends....human beliefs....human failings perhaps.
This chap didn't get it wrong and he could justify his actions.
