Extremely intrusive. I'm not a royalist but still feel their privacy should be respected. Seeing a royal baby's photo in a newspaper wouldn't make me buy it.

Yeah....leave them alone. They are never going to have a 'normal' life but they should at least be allowed to play with their children without being snapped.

No, they are not getting out of hand, they are getting more out of hand.

The issue here lies not with the paps, but with the vast prices they can command for 'candid' pictures, and in turn, the market for these pictures, which are tabloid magazines and papers.

I do not possess the gene that means I pay money to see a photo of a toddler playing - but millions do, and that is the sad part of modern society.

As far as this being a modern phenomenon, I remember when Prince Andrew was dating actress Koo Stark, a friend of hers told me how she was pursued across London on her motor scooter by a pap on a motorbike, and when she parked he parked, came up to her, and tried to wrench her still-fastened crash helmet off so he could photograph her!

It is little wonder that the Cambridges are worried about their children, and the families and friends that they try and socialise with.

I am probably misinformed but I thought it was illegal to photograph children playing - wasn't a father questioned a while back photgraphing his own children in a park?

I don't agree.

Being in the public eye almost constantly and photographed all day every day is very much a part of being a member of the Royal Family.

But they are also parents of small children, and are entitled to the privacy we all enjoy at appropriate times.

It is this privacy which is being invaded, and that is unacceptable.

No-one is ever 'on duty' every breathing minute, and that includes the Royals, and it should certainly apply to their small children, and their friends.

There is an appetite for 'candid' pics - as the massive plethora of paps proves - but market forces do not mean that something is necessarily right.

As I have advised, the Royals accept the public interest, and incessant media attention as going with the territory.

But as people, they are entitled to a life away from that, and it is this separate life, their 'normal life' if you will that is being invaded, and that iw what is not acceptable.

it is never going to be a "normal" chidhood ..but agree such covert ops are out of order..when Royals are up in Deeside or even in Edinburgh's royal mile they have been able to go out and shop etc without being molested as the locals protect them as it were ..have seen Anne out and about and have had a chat with her in a local deli..only her and one protection officer...
