When I saw nice chattels it merely encouraged me to try harder myself, I cannot imagine deliberate damaging a strangers property for no reason.

Did you step out of your luxury bus 237? I fed a blind kid in Khatmandu who was busking on the streets with a drum, I took him by the hand and physically led him to a cafe and heard about how he's lost his sight at the age of three. "When you drive down the road in a fantastic car in this country, people resent it".
Some will some won't - if you go parading around impoverished areas in a car like this, you've got to admit - it *is* 'asking for it, especially in London during these times of 'social cleansing' and 'gentrification'.
That said - I'm on a low wage but I smile when I see a Lamborghini drive past and just enjoy the spectacle. Especially if it's a Huracán :-)

Did you prefer the Murcielago then Sqad? ;-)
I don`t think so Answerprancer. I just got back from Delhi this morning. When I got in there the other night (late at night) we drove past the usual squalor (and I mean serious squalor like nothing you would ever see in this country) There were people in rags sleeping on the pavement, rabid dogs running around, piles of rubbish by what passes for a pavement, big puddles from the monsoon etc. And there am I in my air conditioned bus driving past to my plush hotel and as we slowed down, I made eye contact with a shoeless man who was walking along the road. He smiled at me. I think we would both agree that Delhi is an impoverished area.
He's more than a "muppet" Talbot, he's a looonatic and a scumbag.
I'm gobsmacked.

Answerprancer.........LOL.......by the time that i could even think of buying one, I couldn't even bend down to get into it.......or out of it.
MegaLOL @ DB!
237 - if that was an attempt to patronise me, I have spent time Nepal and experienced similar (in Khatmandu and Pokhara) so....
Impoverished areas exist here too - not the same, but still an extreme contrast for anyone driving through in a car that costs more than 100k.
The boundaries are far closer here than in a country like India, it's not fair to use this as a comparison afaic.
Oh DB - puh-lease! Polish lager and ASDA jeans ...if you don't mind!

There`s an extreme contrast in India too. There are some very rich people there and extremely poor people too so it`s not that different.
I would be horrified if I damaged someone's property even if it were an accident
Seeing something lovely (really not a car person) which I cannot afford does not make me envious. What's the point?
I find it mind-blowing that someone would do something like that. Envy, jealousy - who knows. It's simply the sign of a rubbish person.

There is only one scenario I can think of which would 'justify' (not the quote marks) his action.

Actually - there's a few...they're all based on whether the alleged (oh for God's sake, let's drop the alleged in this instance)...based on whether the bloke who keyed the car knew the driver.

Mitigating circumstances could be that the car owner was the lawyer who successfully defended the bloke who sexually assaulted the wife of the man in yet clip...and managed to get him off on a techni...

...you know what?

Nah...he's just a jerk.

Can't be bothered.

I fed a blind kid in Khatmandu who was busking on the streets with a drum, I took him by the hand and physically led him to a cafe and heard about how he's lost his sight at the age of three.
I sat with a family in a 'home' that looked like an old garage, smoke and grease stains up the wall from their kerosene stove/cooking alcoholic father FIVE kids, all in rags begging for a 'living' and sleeping on a bed made out of pallets. I taught the oldest kid (14) how to repair their rusty roof with epoxy putty because water was píssing in during the monsoon. I also sponsored an orphaned kid who I personally rescued from a life of begging and PROSTITUTION, by "sponsored" I mean, I hoofed around looking for a school/hostel that would take him in, dealt with his lice and scabies and (from back here) financed the rest of his schooling/living, he is 24 now and calls me his father. London is not the same but UK's own form of poverty is very significant IMO.
Of course I have stepped out of my "luxury bus" (although we don`t really have those in India) Don`t patronise me.
Neither can I (imagine myself damaging someone else's property).
I was only responding in kind 237, your previous response smacked of "if only you knew".
