Economic Migrants Or Fleeing The War?
One of the migrants currently in Hungary died yesterday – a 51 year old Pakistani. If he was fleeing the war in Syria, as we’re told by some here that all of these people are, surely he was heading the wrong way?
Watching the news last night, an awful lot of those people didn't appear to be of Middle Eastern extraction.

The image of that young child washed up on a Turkish beach, has created mass support from some, thus allowing Europe to be invaded by hordes from the African continent.
I wonder if any of them remember a young Syrian boy called Hamza al-Khatib?

What did those sympathisers do then, back in 2011?

Whilst some here wish to make themselves feel good by demonstrating their unquestionable compassion and humanity others will proffer valid concerns about this invasion of migrants into Europe.
How can we house them? We have no room. Our schools, hospitals etc are already struggling etc. It is a logistical and financial nightmare.
I have seen no one who has fallen over themselves to display their compassion and swing open the doors to Europe actually consider what if they are bringing communicable diseases along with their other baggage to our shores.
I would sooner they are all quarantined first in a camp before let loose unchecked. They are clearly NOT all fleeing from war ravaged Syria but it would seem false Syrian passports are now available on the black market.
A doomsday scenario I admit but an outbreak of E-bola,TB etc in various cities in this country would bring it to it's knees.
Why can't certain people stop and think of the consequences of their hospitable largesse?

"There are many safe places in the African continent alone. "

/// To be honest, AOG, I've no idea why you're posting old IS inspired propaganda, which has largely been discredited now, or quite what it has to do with today's situation? ///
I don't know why you are attacking me here, i generally support your views?
I was not taking sides over this, I merely came across heart strings and a lot of water has gone under the bridge since 2011, we knew nothing of IS and tended to support the rebels against President Bashar al-Assad. regime.
/// Isn't it you that keeps posting pictures of a boy younger than that executing Syrian soldiers? ///
As for this remark, what has that got to do with anything that I have said.

For non-biologists out there: diseases tend to break out when large numbers stay in one location long enough for one idiot to go upstream for their loo breaks. Also, sustained contact with natural levels of soil bacteria plus damp sleeping quarters all add together to ensure something nasty breaks out.
Keeping on the move is the healthy thing to do.
Anyway, Syria. Surely one of the most ineffectual five-year wars in history. You'd think they'd have wiped each other out, by now.
A war in which countries stand idly by - because they don't want *either* side to be victorious.
Cowardly runaways they may be but why don't we pump them for intel, as part of the asylum process?

//Perhaps an idea would be to conscript these young men, train them and then transport them back to Syria to fight for it's freedom.//
I posted a suggestion very like that, a week or two back but I'm sure it was sarcasm. I trust yours is too?
We can't have freshly trained batallions of uncertain loyalties all weaponed up and wandering around, can we?
