Given the errors in the OP, I could have been right Zacs ( apologies to redvanman ! )

/// At this moment it is just a matter of opinion." ///

/// And that is the essence of my view on the subject - it is opinion, not fact. ///

Then may I suggest that you don't get up on your high horse, when some don't agree with your opinions.

Why are you so defensive towards Muslims?
Islam is more compassionate than Christianity. Who'd have thought that?

The LORD is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.
interesting, isn't it, sandyRoe. No original sin in Islam.
andy-hughes, Just to clarify, when I said //If that's a matter of record, I'd like to see the record.// I wasn’t being sarcastic. I assumed that // For the record, Muslims do not wish to impose Islam on this country // meant you had evidence to support that statement but clearly you haven’t. You’re guessing.

Mikey, //all religions abhor what this chap has done//

No they don’t. Muslims would consider this women a trollop. They wouldn’t give a hoot about her. He, on the other hand, would be considered blameless because she put temptation in his path.
In Islam is it the male who's considered 'the weaker vessel'?
AOG - "Then may I suggest that you don't get up on your high horse, when some don't agree with your opinions."

No you may not suggest. I don’t need the likes of you telling me how to react to posts.

Oh no, that’s the way you answer polite posts isn’t it?

I would rather say – thanks for the suggestion, but I don’t ‘get on my high horse’ when someone disagrees with my opinion.

I think you are mixing me up with others on here.

Naomi...with respect...drivel. Your hatred of Muslims is causing you to abandon your common sense !
There is no respect in calling a post 'Drivel'

Since you are so keen to pick me up for perceived lack of evidence, I am eagerly awaiting your evidence for your claim that “ … Muslims would consider this woman a trollop ….” and so on, since you appear to be stating that as a fact.

In your own time …
tut tut, mikey.
I retract nothing Talbot...if a post is comprised of drivel, then drivel it is.

Naomi casts all Muslims with the same brush, without exception. She knows nothing of this footballer, but still makes huge generalisations about every Muslim on the planet. To her, they not individuals but exactly the same, which cannot possibly be true.
I would rather comment on the huge and successful contribution Toure has brought to the English Premier League.

He is a candidate for one of the best box to box midfield players in the game.

Man City are very fortunate to have him and his influence on the club cannot be easily measured.

How many footballers hit the headlines for the wrong reasons?

Yaya may not be perfect, who is, but he has achieved much both inside and outside the game....
Mikey, I don’t hate all Muslims - I just know rather more about their religion than you do. The common sense thing for you to do would be to learn about Islam – and take andy-hughes with you. You both argue relentlessly about something of which you know nothing.

andy-hughes, thank you, but I don’t need much time. I haven’t posted anything more complex than this simply because this is very easy to understand. It doesn’t apply to non-Muslim women like the one in question, of course. In such circumstances they are not a consideration - which is why Muslim gangs like those in Rochdale are so prevalent.

Naomi -" It doesn’t apply to non-Muslim women like the one in question, of course. In such circumstances they are not a consideration - which is why Muslim gangs like those in Rochdale are so prevalent."

I still veer towards Mikey's opinion - that you appear to view Muslims as a homogenous mass, rather than individuals who interpret their religious teachings in their own way - as do any adherents of any faith.

To assume that simply because an edict is published, that every follower must follow is slavishly is something of a step too far in my view.

If it were true, the Catholic population in the world would probably be ten times higher than it is now - as a simple example.
andy-hughes, Roman Catholics enjoy freedoms that are denied to Muslims so your simple example doesn’t work. I’ve told you many, many times that Islam dictates every aspect of a Muslim’s life – even insofar as it advises on the correct procedures for using the toilet. It is deemed beyond criticism in any form and it cannot be compared to any other religion on earth. You don’t understand Islam and as far as I can tell you don’t want to.

//you appear to view Muslims as a homogenous mass, rather than individuals who interpret their religious teachings in their own way//

That’ll be just the men then.
Naomi - "You don’t understand Islam and as far as I can tell you don’t want to."

The thread that runs through all your answers is that you feel that you know more about Islam than other people on the Answerbank - and you feel this give you the right to tell other people - me specifically, that I do not know what I am talking about.

I find your approach to be arrogant, and not necessarily based on fact, so I am bowing out of corresponding with you on the subject.
andy-hughes, you challenged me to produce evidence that what I said was correct. I did. If you can't handle that you've made the right decision. Talk to Mikey. He'll agree with you.
Jeez Naomi, don't confuse 'people' with facts! Unsubstantiated opinion is a la mode you know.
Silly me. MTH.
