Approximately 110,000 Japanese people living in the US, mostly US citizens, were locked up. If any more than about 100-odd of them were actually a potential threat to the US, let alone a real one, I'd be surprised. At the very least, the approach is the equivalent of using a massive sledgehammer to crack a fairly small nut, while squishing a number of others in the process. Famously, George Takei ended up stuck in one of those camps with his family, at a time when he was something like five years old. A massive threat to society he was, then, eh?

if you google "reviews of that last scene from blackadder goes forth" there are lots of intelligent media types who see it as moving rather than manipulative.

And really, to balance this, we need Retrocop to point us all to views that support his own in the matter, and also some rip-roaring insightful comedy written by right-wing hatemongers.
