Well this started about Tyson Fury being dropped from a meaningless Blocks Biased Count. Now its gay rights and slights. Who started that then?

I don't particularly admire him, but he would get my support due to the amount of online bullying he's on the receiving end of from various self-absorbed lobbyists.

I posted the link to what he wrote on Twitter.

He conflated gay people with paedophiles.

Instead of telling me stuff about me, why not stick to the subject and hand and tell me why I'm mistaken about what Tyson Fury said.

I think he said one thing, and have posted why I think this - you have avoiding countering my argument and have started slating me.

Note - I won't have a go back, because then everything degenerates into a slanging match.

Some might look at what you've written and conclude that because you've resorted to personal attacks, you don't have an argument.

They might be right, and they might be wrong.

Who knows!

Tyson Fury probably started it by advising us that the end of the word was imminent because gay relationships had been decriminalised.

Headline News Fury has twitter account. The home of the vacuous self regarding introvert.

Online bullying?

Fury has threatened Oliver Holt (Mail on Sunday chief sports writer).

Fury said:

'See 'big Shane' there. He's 6ft 6in and 25 stone. He's going break his (Holt's) jaw completely with one straight right hand. I won't do it as I'll get in trouble but the big fella there will annihilate him,' Fury said.

So...it appears that Mr Fury is all for freedom of speech, but will threaten those who write things he doesn't like with violence.

Your support of him is...surprising.

He's claiming to quote from his bible (regardless whether he has a knowledge of it or not). And assumes his beliefs coincide with it. I don't think one can take that any more seriously than quoting that the Earth was created between 5,700 and 10,000 years ago or that there will be a Rapture soon and folk are going to all float away. Claiming he said this or that or arguing over those claims are hardly relevant. Nor does it stop him being a candidate for some sporting contest.

Sp, two things (I think) I know about you, you are Black and you are Gay.
Believe it or not I have no problem with either of those facts either individually or combined.
What I do have a problem with is your propensity of screeming and screeming and screeming until everyone else is sick of it about perceived slights and injustices against you and your way of life, which is just as legal and above board as mine or anyone elses.
I'm straight, not a question of being proud of it it's the way I am, I don't usually mention it because there is not normally a need to, and maybe if you and your like-minded friends maybe adopted the same attitude instead of the infamy infamy attitude we get so frequently on here things might just get a little easier all round.
Just thinking out loud here, ok?

But he wrote the following:

"Hears how I can put homosexuality along side Paedophilia? Printed by the BBC in 2014?"

To me, that statement is linking homosexuality to paedophilia.

...and introducing the world to an alternative way of using the word 'hear'.

I can see your point of view. You admire Mr Fury, and perhaps whilst not agreeing with what he says, defends his right to say it. On that we agree (except I don't admire him). I am simply saying that when someone comes out with statements like that about gay people, others should have the right to robustly disagree with him and point out where we feel he is incorrect.

'Gay' and 'paedophile' should not be confused.

If everyone quietly accepted what he says without censure, then there are kids growing up right now who will feel that they are somehow less worthy, and it's them who are important, and it is them who need reassurance that there are those of us who do not hold Tyson Fury in high esteem.

Go ahead and vote for him...enjoy - but allow dissenting voices.
Baldric

Apologies for entering into a debate and arguing my point.

At what point should I be quiet?

I ask, because you have posted as many comments on here as I have - but you will notice that I have not at any point suggested that you are not free to do so.
He`s a Gypsy. Gypsy people don`t mix with people outside of their community. Consequently, there is no way that Tyson Fury is going to be PC. Read Gypsy Boy by Mikey Walsh and then you can understand how and why he is so ignorant
He should be withdrawn for dressing up like batman at a premium fight press conference.

/// I have not at any point suggested that you are not free to do so.///

Nor Have I suggested you are not free to do so SP, you are yet again twisting what is put in front of you, as I'm sure you are aware I said
///maybe if you and your like-minded friends maybe adopted the same attitude instead of the infamy infamy attitude we get so frequently on here things might just get a little easier all round.///
which in no way suggests you are not free to post does it?
OMG, scream, a homophobe !!. Ban him.

Travellers hitching up their caravans within 300 metres of their homes = bad

Travllers defaming gay people = good.

...apparently, when it comes to who appears where on their ladder of bigotry, right wingers are more flexible than Nadia Comaneci.

Only joking fellas...I'm sure you're being very honest with your views.

Anyway - off to watch 'Black Mass' now. Enjoy the rest of the thread tonight.

No worries.

Enjoy the rest of your evening.

I'm off now, because - well, it's a bit like ice-skating on treacle at the moment for both of us, isn't it...and I want to see the new Johnny Depp movie.

Enjoy.

And don't forget to vote for Tyson Fury!
divebuddy

(Okay - this is my last post...I really have to log off now)

I only say that you're an admirer of him, because you're going to vote for him as Sports Personality of the Year.

You said that your vote reflected the fact that I don't like the man. I assume that this was tongue in cheek, and that you really admire the man.

Anyway - I really have to go now. Enjoy the rest of your evening. I utterly have to scoot now.

And go vote for your man! It's unlikely that he will be dropped from SPOTY so you've got a massive chance to nail your flag to the pole and vote for someone who's views you approve of.

Get in!
sp "travellers defaming gay people = good" I didn`t say that. I said that Tyson is ignorant because homophobia is inherent in his community. BTW - he isn`t a Traveller, he`s a Gypsy - there`s a difference.
