Tyson Fury has said that he doesn't want to win SPOTY.
Perhaps the BBC could assist him in this by taking his name off the ballot?
The problem with Mr Fury is that he has stated things that are not true, and this is because he is uneducated.
Fury's statement in full:
“Them three things (abortion, homosexuality and paedophilia) need to be accomplished before the world finishes. That’s what the Bible tells me. “So it may take a while before these three things have to be accomplished but make no mistake them three things must be accomplished before the world finishes. That’s not my opinion it’s what the Bible tells me.”
Except of course, there is no mention of paedophilia in the Bible.
Nor is there any mention of abortion - because, y'know...abortion didn't actually exist 2,000 years ago.
Mr Fury went on to conflate homosexuality with paedophilia.
This is a common tactic used by certain people who want to denigrate gay people. There are a couple on AB who have tried this.
Now...should he be dropped?
I think so, because this is not a freedom of speech issue. He can still say whatever he pleases...but the BBC doesn't have to celebrate him.
Also - seeing as he has been stripped of the IBF title, is he still eligible?
