There are so many recent crimes that have not been solved, and the money would be better off spent on them.

There is no equivalency between the murder of Stephen Lawrence and the murder of Danny O'Shea.

With Stephen Lawrence, the police botched the investigation.

With Danny O'Shea, eight people were tried and one was convicted.

The jury in the Danny O'Shea case unanimously cleared eight men of murder and conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm after 22 hours of deliberations.

I don't understand why you think they were let off scot free. They were tried and found not guilty.

Anyone remember the Free Geo Davis campaign - or the Great train robbery two other cases which have nothing to do with Stephen Lawrence or his mother Doreen

You are, of course, correct, AOG.
Two men are currently serving sentences after a trial in 2011/2012.
I have to confess that ploughing through some of the stuff about this case yesterday became rather tiresome.

The one that really fascinates me is the Carl Bridgewater murder in 1978.
Now that is one case where I think I can say with certainty, that the family will NEVER get justice.

Just imagine the outcry if a gang of eight white men had been implicit in murdering Stephen Lawrence and only one was convicted of murder and the other seven let free?

Already two are now serving a life's sentence, and yet still the Lawrences are not happy.
