This has to be a joke hasn't it ? If this young lady with her sense of mass entitlement ever reaches the bar I hope she gets her sensitive emotions sorted out first.Pathetic little publicity seeker.

I bet they're tempted to offer her two fingers. I'd have thought the most she could expect is the cost of a replacement plus some ancillary costs and a reward for taking the trouble to point it out- maybe a £50 or £10 voucher at most
I meant to type £5 not £50

From the Link,

She says,

“I’m trying my luck, if you don’t ask you don’t get.”
Exactly what I spotted Baldric, so in answer to the OP - no I don't think she is serious at all.
Strange how some people see "getting something for nothing " in everything they do. When my two sons were young they thought getting an all chocolate Kit-Kat was a special treat.

Balders also from the link

//“The loss I have suffered is of monetary and emotional significance.//

She will be lucky if she survives this emotional trauma!!

I wonder how the story reached the media.

Retro, I think that's probably covered by her "I'm trying my luck" statement.
According to the mail she claims they breached "a duty of care", this is what it means.

In tort law, a duty of care is a legal obligation which is imposed on an individual requiring adherence to a standard of reasonable care while performing any acts that could foreseeably harm others. It is the first element that must be established to proceed with an action in negligence.

So what she is saying is that some missing wafers could harm her. ???

Dave.
Well i think she is showing already the traits of a good Defence Barrister
Wonderfully tongue in cheek - I have always found if you complain with humour it often brings good results.
I don't know what she is complaining about, she got more chocolate than she paid for.
I think I'll complain, I've never had a waferless Kit-Kat in my life and I think I'm emotionally damaged because of missing out on such an experience.
If she does become a lawyer, she'll probably be in the habit of requesting lots of side-bars from the judges.
retrocop - I think you are reading too much seriousness into what amounts to a little tongue-in-cheek exercise with a little media coverage on the side.
Saima Ahmad,........a good old English name, I bet she was born in the UK and congratulations to her for utilising the now, well established something for nothing trait.
I also bet she is a Muslim.........;-)
Give us a break.........give us a.............!
"Look, can you see me? I'm in the paper!"...A chocolate covered selfie.
Can you get compensation for a sense of humour bypass these days?

I,ve been complaining to my local House of Ill Repute for years now.
No luck so far,
especially with the lifetime supply!
;o)
