The fanatical Muslim is hell bent on getting their way and they will go to any lengths to murder anyone, Muslim, Christian, Atheist, Buddha or whoever who does not sign up to their warped way of thinking.

The shop owner is decribed as a devout muslim.

He had had the shop many years, and the muslim community would know that.

Many of his customers were white, scottish non muslims.

He is murdered and the man arrested is a muslim. The police say the murder is religously motivate

From that it is a bit of a leap to conclude he was murdered because he integrated. It could have equally been motivated by
1. Mosque politics
2. A disagreement or long running feud
3. Who gets an appointment or position
4. Money (that's usually there somewhere)
5. Something historic between familes

(already posted by Svejk yesterday) and seeing what has happened to this shopkeeper makes me wonder just what is being preached in these mosques - 100 have been closed in France,. I think it is time we had an Arabic or Urdu speaking 'observer' in every one.

Must agree with Gromit to a certain extent, we do not know precisely why he was murdered only that it was 'religiously motivated' which could cover many reasons.

I'm never entirely sure if people are being serious or not when suggesting that. I would have thought that 24-hour government monitoring of its citizens was among the most hideous features of a communist regime?

I already knew that, I included it in my post if you had read it.

'Religiously motivated' does not mean the squabble was about integration. It could, and probably is, about one of a thousand other religious things, such as management of the mosque, or charitable donations to the mosque.
