Why Muslims Don't Integrate?
Answers
jim//I would have thought that 24-hour government monitoring of its citizens was among the most hideous features of a communist regime?//
I think that's an OTT response. Is there anything more "hideous" than preaching hate, we know it goes on (and by the way, it's against the law). I'm sure there would be no objections by any other religious groups if their sermons and practices were observed.
We have full surveillance of parliament, police interviews and soon law court proceedings and much more, why not religious gatherings too?

Race hate preaching is not undertaken during full mosque procedings. When preachers have infiltrated mosques such as Finsbury Park, they have worked in back rooms with small numbers. CCTV monitoring of mosques would not work, for a start it does not pick up audio (unless you want them bugged as well). And if radicalisers knew they were being monitorred, they would just go to the park, or somewhere not public.
If you want to create hundreds of thousands of new jobs for Arabic and Urdu* speakers, then the monitorring might serve a useful purpose. But I am sure there are much better job creation schemes for muslims.

It's, like you, very simple, Gromit.
I didn't say 'this man was murdered for integrating'. In fact, I went to some lengths to say it was just one possibility.
30 posts later, Professor Gromit, ably assisted by Dr AOG, says 'I disagree, maybe he was killed for some other reason'.

Nigel Farage has said, “the mosques in Britain have been infiltrated by a series of preachers, funded with big money coming out of parts of the Middle East, and saying things in mosques that, if I said in the streets of London or you said in the streets of New York, we’d be arrested for pretty blooming quickly.”
The Ukip leader said the government had been “turning a blind eye for a very long time”, much like the way people were “frightened of our own shadows” in relation to the grooming of girls in Rotherham by men of Pakistani heritage for fear of being called racist.
