// Anyone who 'fixes' his passport is NOT "completely innocent".//

and so the implication is that he deserves to die more than someone 'who is completely innocent' I invite you to conclude ( or else there is no reason to cite the point )

and so for example if someone rat-at-atat tat dies in a hail of police bullets and has a parking ticket in his pocket

up will pop QM - and say - well ! he isnt completely innocent is he ? and anyone who says he is,is rabbiting on about trivia [ pun intended: I think QM IS rabbiting on about irrelevancies to the case ]

hahahah I love this thread - it is as mad as any I have read on AB!

and if his VAT reeturn is late - QM will say o heavens - it is obvious that tax fraud is about to be committed.....

oh and I havent even covered the mortal ( yes another pun intended ) sin of whether his TV licence was in date ! the streets as we know are full of bullet ridden dead licence evaders ....
PP said //does anyone have the URL of the justices' wise words ? //

of course - read all about it.....

So..... if he wasn't killed by the Police, who did kill him then ?

The Police were 100% entirely wrong, but, yet again, they get off scot-free.

Well, well, well ....who would have believed it !

The police did kill him, as you know full well, mikey, but it wasn't murder.
HC....no, you are right. The Police made a ruddy huge mistake but it isn't their fault....apparently.

Well, that's OK then isn't it ?
What an absurd response, even by your standards, PP!
The point I was making from the start here (timed at 16.07), about the validity of his passport, referred to the fact that he wouldn't even have BEEN in London with a ‘fiddled’ passport, if he was such a "complete innocent".
He himself clearly thought he might be deported if he kept his passport in its original form and hence he tampered with it! That crime…and I assume altering a passport is a crime… meant he was a criminal by definition and at least partially the agent of his own fate.
Had he returned to Brazil when he should have, he'd still be enjoying life there; had he not been shot, he would probably still have been here illegally. Life can be so cruel!
mikey4444 - I think the issue is, although we know he was killed by the police, he wasn't technically murdered by the police.

Couple of side questions though...did his family receive compensation?

And does anyone remember the rumour that went around in the days after his death that he was wanted on a charge of rape? It turned out to be untrue, but it was strange that the allegation cropped up literally hours after the killing.

Almost as if...
No - my mistake. The rumour started in the months after the killing, not directly after it.
