well well well, who'd-a thought it?
can we expect high level fall-out from these disclosures, or is the matter just going to die the death after an initial flurry of indignant tut-tutting?

But as it appears that politicians are involved much simpler to change the law to make it all above board and legal.
Probably a bit of tut-tutting.
We assume we will be drop-fed a new set of scallwags over the next few days/weeks?
Some suggested that there was a weird omission of US citizens in the leak. I guess that would be the next stage of the "scandal"?
Obviously no one is surprised. Maybe governments could go collect some tax off these individuals now that everyone REALLY knows?

These days, actually, Noe schi..- more often Bob's your auntie.
But seriously, we have to hope there are enough dogged journalists with their teeth into this scandal. Even if they are only trying to earn themselves Pulitzer prizes - we might get a bit of light shed where there used to be utter darkness.

// 'didn't do anything illegal' seems to be the standard excuse for the current crop of immoral self serving politicians, scallywags and scumbags. Strangely it is what we expect in reality.//
various points arise - thank you mushie for posting something other than - " and the dark muslims will kill us in our beds ( version 1029 ) " - and yes I note there is version 1030 just above you from Schweik ( yawn ) which has garnered 100 of the same replies
Secondly we must recognise that it is lawful to arrange your affairs to minimise your tax bill ( Ld Summerskill 1962 )
Buying tax vehicles to minimise tax is expensive
and is only worth it if you are paying over £100 000 ( tax ) a year
and no I dont think there will be a cover up
there is no need to trumpet - " hey we have 11 million documents " if you are gonna suppress it - what you do is erase the info without publicity
prog tonite apparently

Money doesn't grow on trees. Rich people only get rich because other people work for them (and going back generations, inherited etc.), so all that stuff, sloshing around in offshore banks accounts, is yer actual sweat of yer workin' class (and some middle class, in da' management).
It's basically proof that we're not paid enough *and* we're getting ripped off by typical profit margins. Usury was banned by the church, at one time, but ripping people off appears to be the height of moral rectitude, these days.
