I wasn't aware that there were variations in the allowable blood alcohol levels across the country, so equalisation makes some sense.

But the reintroduction of smoking in pubs and bars?

Seems a bit retrograde.

I live in an old Market Town, lots of historic buildings including Pubs in the town centre. All you ever see outside the pubs are smokers lined up obstructing the footpaths and drinks lined up along the window sills, it looks awful, and given that there are 'no street drinking' signs all over the place I wonder why they're allowed to get away with it. Antisocial behavior from them as always.

No, I don't think a repeal of smoking in pubs and clubs should be made and I don't think it will happen anyway and I'm not sure about airguns either, too many idiots going around shooting wildlife and pets. Raising the drink driving limit is a good thing as far as I'm concerned.

Motley, most pubs don't allow glasses to be taken onto the street so I agree that should stopped when people have to resort to outside for smoking.
