I wasn't aware that there were variations in the allowable blood alcohol levels across the country, so equalisation makes some sense.

But the reintroduction of smoking in pubs and bars?

Seems a bit retrograde.

You have a point Togo. My dad was a hard working man. He drank and smoked and died of liver cancer aged 59. The only treatment he really received were in the last 6 months of his life and that was mainly pain control.

PMSL. If that's what living in a cave and counting sheep all day does to your brain I think I'll take up smoking again after 10 years abstention. Smoking appears harmless in comparison. :-)
