Judging by the audience Obama is convincing to stay in Europe, why are the white European indigenous population of these Islands, only recognisable by their absence?

We have indeed - although we don’t all feel the compulsion to crow about it incessantly. The more astute among us recognise that it’s equally important that we ‘indigenous’ Brits take pride in who we are, just as the rest of the world’s peoples take pride in who they are.

I am only responding your barb and what overtly could seem to be read as a very narrow-minded xenophobic view being expressed.
If you were to add to your second para, 'open our arms trade-wise, politically, charitably and culturally to be one of the major leaders of the world - change from within,' then I would agree with you.

//No, we don't naomi, as the enemies are from within.//
We have started to realise that now. It is what is causing the friction.

How very lucky to have travelled. Unfortunately our EU partners appear not to respect us any the more, regardless of your valiant attempt.
We are definitely a minority in the EUSSR.

Take the USSR out of the equation and that is perhaps the real threat and one seriously to be concerned about as to a Brexit (I don't think we have the means to practice Metternich balance as we did in the late 18th and 19th centuries), then what are we left with, Togo, the EU.
Now who is in a majority in the EU? I would be interested to hear that one. Germany and France may think so, but even if they combine, they do not have the clout.

Klemens Wenzel Nepomuk Lothar, Prince of Metternich-Winneburg-Beilstein (1773–1859), Austrian statesman. As Foreign Minister (1809–48), he was one of the organizers of the Congress of Vienna (1814–15), which devised the settlement of Europe after the Napoleonic Wars.
Now we Brexit fans are constantly told with a sniff and a sneer that WW2 and our immediate forefathers are not to be considered. Although the gainsayers think Obama is entitled to use dead GIs as a reference. This is 1814. Go Boudicca.
"The obvious is always least understood."
"I have never feared that the revolution would be engendered by the universities; but that at them a whole generation of revolutionaries must be formed, unless the evil is restrained, seems to me certain.... The greatest and consequently most urgent evil now is the press.... All journals, pamphlets, &c., in Germany must be under a censorship."
A couple of quotes from Prince Metternich.

DTC, my words are ‘barb’ and my views very narrow-minded and xenophobic – and you’re not denigrating me. Right. By the way, the non-expectation of an apology for nothing and the smart-*** ‘Honey’ are as transparent as you are - and to anyone with an iota of sense, that’s pretty transparent. Enjoy your dinner.
