Cases and appeals are decided on their individual merits.

The notion that another prisoner received different treatment is - in this instance - invalid.

She could fill her time with studying alternative uses for bedsheets and stout, high fixtures, specifically their use when there are no staff around.

Your post does not address the Question which AG raised - it merely points to your assertion that the prisoner should take her own life - facilities for which to do so are not within the remit of the justice system.

agchtistie.....yes, you are correct in that but the same could be said about the reason why both are in prison......ie they are both convicted murderers.

What I meant was that the court decisions are not linked....yet. There might be if her lawyers manage to get this to the European Court, but there is little sign of that happening at the present time.

agc....as I understand it, this ruling says that while her segregation was lawful, she is not due any compensation. Its isn't about whether her whole-life sentence is fair or not.
