David Cameron leads the ‘Remainers’ and so, as Prime Minister, gets his voice heard in the media every single day, but how many placards have you seen urging people to vote ‘Remain’?

Here, where I live, I’ve seen none at all. Plenty of ‘Leave’ posters, many of them erected in farmers’ fields alongside main roads, but not one for ‘Remain’. Strange.

Ah, here we have Gromit trying to label leave voters as thick and uneducated. Sometimes I rwaly dispair at you my old china.

Round here only leave, must be all thick people living in tge exoensive houses!
I am public school educated, have two degrees and two post-graduate diplomas and I am firmly for LEAVE. Am I thick?
It would appear gromit may think so.
Boris went to a good school
I should've gone to the local secondary modern.

Gromit, The LEAVE posters that I have seen, appear to be cut out of newspapers. Mail or Express sheep probably.

Oooo! How common! The placards around here are custom made – probably because the populace is, on the whole, well educated and affluent.
More "Leave" posters could simply mean that the leave types are more likely to put up a poster. Given that most houses don't have a poster of any description, it's those houses that you need to pay most attention to ...

Ellipsis, the posters here aren't in houses - they're positioned alongside major roads. I have no idea who's organising it but their notices are doubtless being noticed.
Are those farmers prepared to tighten their belts if the leavers win the day?
I'm not sure that signs by the roadside, possibly illegally placed, are an indication of anything more significant than signs placed on houses, Naomi.

If Remain wins this campaign then it will be "the silent majority" ...

sandyRoe, //Are those farmers prepared to tighten their belts if the leavers win the day?//

Contrary to public perceptio0n, it doesn’t appear that they’ll have to.

Ellipsis, they’re not illegal. As I said, most are positioned in farmers’ fields.
A bit like the Scottish referendum, Naomi, and look what happened there, the silent majority spoke....as they will in this one.
Indeed they will, and they'll be at one with the vocal majority: OUT.
Question Author
DTC, which side is the silent majority on though? Both sides seem pretty vocal to me.
I wear my 'Vote Leave' badge all the time when out of the house. It's amazing how many people give me a 'thumbs-up' and no-one has been negative about it.

I don't think I'm thick, Gromit. I got to a good northern Grammar school in a highly competitive examination and am fully qualified as a teacher, passed the Threshold requirements etc..

Because I am able in many areas, I (one
year) ended up teaching no fewer than 5 classes in different disciplines to G.C.S.E. level - to the satisfaction of 5 Heads of Department. I am firmly on the LEAVE side.
Naomi > As I said, most are positioned in farmers’ fields.

Just like all those scarecrows scaremongering!
We put a 'Vote Leave' sign up in our front garden a few days ago. The next day my husband, who was upstairs, heard an engine revving outsid and 4 blokes tore the sign down, chucked the post at our front door and drove away fast. Typical 'Remain' mentality. Destroy other people's rights to state their views.
Look at the bookies, there's the best forecast....

I would add probably the most true assessment of the split. I have an interesting bet on 65-70% in at 12-1.
Linda, it's attritional on both sides....there are cases down here the other way around with Brexiters being so democratic in their actions, in a massively In county.
DTC, sorry but where is this country that's so massively IN? I must have missed something here!
