Brexit’S Domino Effect

Sweden’s Foreign Minister is the latest in a long line to warn that the UK’s exit from Europe could encourage other countries to do likewise, potentially heralding the demise of the EU altogether. This country is only one nation among 28 so if, as we’re led to believe by the Remainers, membership of the EU is so wonderful, why would others even consider following us?

Dave has tried his best to bring this country down and portray it as finished, relying totally on the EU.

Clearly this is nonsense, as other leaders recognize, the UK is the second biggest net donor after Germany. Without our cash the EU wont be able to fund all its eurocrats and will go broke.

The UK is still dominant in the market place even outside the EU and it could have the capacity and ability to do much better if not shackled by a bunch of non elected bureaucrats.

youngmafbog Dave can't be held solely responsible for that. He has several friends on the other side who are making similar noises. But the question is, if membership of the EU is so wonderful, why would other countries want to leave?

What I can't understand about all this is the fact that knowing how the left generally react, one would think that with the Tory Prime Minister leading the 'STAY IN' campaign the left would have immediately jumped in and shouted, "well we all know why the Tories want to stay in the EU it is for the benefit of their big business and banking friends, plus the chance to lower the working man's wages and so his standard of living".

According to a BBC report last week People in Italy and France are now demanding referendums and Sweden has said if we leave then they will .

Denmark as well, katerich48. Greece may well be forced out (to their relief) and that could take Cyprus with them. As many of us have been saying for a long time - Europe in its present form is doomed. Probably the best thing is a bust-up (or the threat of one) to make the Eurocrats think again about their unification policies and come up with more loosely binding arrangements - such as the treaties and trade agreements we used to have.

Whatever eventually emerges (and everyone will agree that it is to their advantage to have friendly, binding treaties) I am absolutely certain that Britain will be better-off if we leave before it all collapses.
