The problem with all the stats (whichever source they come from) is that you are rarely comparing like with like.
The only useful figure would be the difference in the chances of getting shot across a range of different ages/sexes/ethnicities who were all behaving in exactly the same way in their interaction with the police .
Which figure is impossible to produce - so we are back to skewed reporting, cherry-picked statistics and the agenda of whichever news machine produces the report.
It appears that young black men are more likely (per capita) to get shot - but how much of that can be laid at the door of their societal upbringing and attitudes, rather than racist/corrupt police?
Every black victim is suddenly a saintly, church going, polite young man in the eyes of his community - is this likely?
I have no idea of the answer - just that the problem is probably not as simple as "racist cops shoot too many blacks"
