Seems a bit odd to me, he's going through the whole process and got the nomination so why the whining now?

I of course only ever see the stuff that makes headlines, but must admit that stuff doesn't seem particularly left-leaning to me.
I don't particuarly cre enough about American politics to dig further thn the surface we re presented with here in the UK, and in all honesty, Mrs Clinton does not seem like a particularlyinspiring candidate either. It won't be a case of "may the best man win" rather "May the least worst man win"
i don't know which of them fulfils tht role really!

I don't think it's possible for me to fully understand the emotions of the mothers of those who died in the Benghazi attacks. But to hold Clinton "personally responsible" ahead of the terrorists involved is unjustifiable and smacks of a politically-motivated action rather than one born out of seeking justice.
As it is, a full inquiry is due to report later in the year... indeed unfortunately Clinton's had more than a few inquiries into her previous actions, political and otherwise, and against a more competent Republican opponent such as, say, Marco Rubio, it's hard to see her surviving this level of scrutiny and becoming president anyway. Lucky for Clinton, Trump is equally awful.

The problem here clanad is that you are upsetting the approved liberal elite view of people like ichkeria. They have decided that Trump is a (insert preferred label here) and you are deemed in some way deficient by not concurring. It's traditional left wing tactics, we are very used to it. You add another dimension by living in the US and actually having a clue what you are talking about, they find that very disturbing too.

also I dont hear of the muslim dead US army captain whose family criticised Trump being referred to as heroic

American politics are labyrinthine and I don't claim to do much more than follow them and cling on by my fingernails to making sense of them. What I would like to say (and it may be very naïve) is that I find myself thinking more and more about cowboy movies - you know, the ones we grew up with John Wayne etc.. Harmless enough when I was a child, but I have the distinct feeling that that is how a lot of Americans think; that it is deep in their psyche and that that is why Trump may win - especially when his opponent is the 'sleazy lady' part in the movies. Simplistic, but the parallels have occurred to me.
@ Naomi -- I was initially referring to the parents of one of the victims in the Benghazi attack did:
// "I blame Hillary Clinton personally for the death of my son," Patricia Smith said. //
As the article points out, though, investigations have repeatedly cleared Hillary Clinton of any culpability or wrongdoing.

For Trump's own comments, though, you could see this critique (including the source video):

It's nothing to do with left or right Tora but plain common sense.
There's nothing very left wing about the people whose outspoken criticism of Trump was the focus of yr original question.
He may know how to make a buck and attract sexy East European prostitutes into his bed, (the latter no doubt a considerable feat), but a viable politician he is not as sensible republicans can see all too well

Do you think it's possible that it now has nothing to do with liberal sensibilities, but more to do with both the left and right of America realising that you cannot really have someone with learning difficulties as President?
The odd thing with many people who support Trump is that they don't really support him. They just want to poke someone in the eye.
We saw the same here when the idioteratti shouted their support for that boxer (I honestly can't remember his name), because they approved of his non-PC stance.
I think that Americans who have gone through the school system and have a higher than grade five reading level are cottoning on to the fact that if they elect a man who is genuinely an idiot, they too will look like idiots.
But I could be wrong.*

Naomi -- my post was made in the context of clanad's final paragraph. Didn't say anything about Trump either (at least not until later, see my last post).
Apologies if the context wasn't made totally clear, but all the same, neither Trump nor, sadly, the parents of those lost at Benghazi are justified in their criticisms of Clinton, based on the exoneration she's received at inquiry after inquiry. Having said that as I mentioned there is one final report due out later this year, so the picture may yet change.
