Or it could just be not everyone is on AB all the time. I haven't been on for about six hours. I can guess who Talbot is referring to. I don't understand why though
Watch the video sandy - there are other indicators that some of the Muslim community think that the killing was justified. I heard a couple on radio.
This is the sort of thread that requires longer answers that I really feel up to providing...

This was a dreadful unprovoked attack and no-one should view it as anything other than pure, needless murder.
And I think that just because someone doesn't post on the thread doesn't imply in any way that they disagree that it sickening
Question Author
No, but as said it implies that they want it brushed under the carpet ASP.

Who is going to argue with Tam Khan? (he is back on Facebook now)
So the murdered man's poor family were too afraid to appear in court and are having to move home because they are too frightened to stay where they are. That is disgraceful. As if they have not suffered enough and will continue to do so.
I would not read anything into the fact that some posters haven't posted on a topic that was only raised on here 3 hours ago.
I also wonder how safe the judge feels
The reaction of the murderers family was scary :-(
fiction-factory, //Whilst the majority of muslims find the killing to be an unforgivable atrocity ...//

Do they? How do you know that?
Naomi. How do you know they don't ?
anneasquith, I haven't claimed to know anything - but fiction-factory has. Address your questions to him.
I am not surprised at all.

This is what has now become of our country. It should be a sanctury but we have allowed unfettered access to all sorts of scum and extreme religious nutters, and by the hundreds of thousands if not more.

All those supporters should be tailed by the Police and arrested at the slightest hint of subversion.

But they wont because they will be accused of "harassing the Muslims" by the right on hand wringers.
I say it because i believe it's true, Naomi. But I don't feel I need to justify it to please you. If you believe the majority of Muslims do support the killing of this Muslim then feel free to say so- I won't ask you justify your belief.
I expect it has been surmised Naomi, due to all human beings, being the same species, tending to have many basic values in common; and that those Muslims one has met seem to be decent sorts not obviously different, save for their religious belief, to the non-Muslims one has met.

I had not realised that one is obliged to contribute to every thread or else have it known one wants the subject brushed under the carpet. Unless that is a ploy to make this a long thread, I have a heck of a lot of catching up to do over the next year or two. I'd better get started.

For the record: whatever some Muslims think is or isn't an insult to their chosen religion, the action taken was an insult to the whole of humanity; and worse.
Let's face it, all muslims are good, it's a fact. None of them have a malicious bone in their body and the taxi driver was obviously mentally ill.

Please continue to offer understanding and leeway to all who come to our country as they try to leave the old ways behind and strive for a better life in their new home.

You know it makes sense, what could possibly go wrong?

Your sledgehammer sarcasm says more about your prejudice than anything else.
Most issues have shades of grey and are not black & white. It is unfortunate to see a Brit implying otherwise as I tend to expect it more from some other nationalities. In any group, religions included, are all good or all bad. Religion may preach certain values and so colour the group's overall beliefs, but not all take everything they are fed, on board. Especially when some interpret the beliefs/rules differently to others. There is always a range from the 'as totally sane as one can define' to the 'as totally bonkers as one can define'.
Mr Hughes, please refrain from comments of a personal nature or better still, keep your thoughts to yourself.
...religions included, NONE are all good or all bad...
