I think many of us, on both sides of the divide understood that the decision of the referendum would need to be ratified by parliament before it could be implemented. I certainly did. In fact, all we were ever promised was a referendum.. ...not a binding referendum, nor one with a timescale for implementati on.

They have it wrong anyway, if there was a further referendum it must be "you accept the deal as it is or you vote to just get out and trade with the rest of the world as intended"
Their will is paramount importance. You are mistaking it's value with the fact that it wasn't legally binding. It wasn't legally forced to be rejected either; and a democratic parliament is morally obliged to enact it or it can not claim to be democratic. I'm certain, judging from your past post record, that you can get your head around that, but in my opinion you choose not to admit it.

I have never claimed that Brexit will not succeed. I'd be stupid to do that when the situation is so complex and the outcome of an appeal is pending. The whole point of my post is to point out the unholy mess we're in due to our esteemed leaders (and a large proportion of voters) didn't fully understand the complexities of making it happen.
dannyk You have just proved my point !
There is NO POSSIBLE REASON for May to go to the Supreme court it can only be a time wasting tactic, all part of the 'set up' so that she can say she has tried her best and failed !
TTT there will not be riots, those who feel as strongly as you are in a tiny minority. 99.9 % will just shrug their shoulders and carry on.
