I think there is a ground swell, started with Bretix, that is sweeping Europe and the US with people dissatisfied with being dictated to by the Liberal elite establishment. An establishment that steamrollers their ideal onto people.
People are seeing that they are unable to have a proper voice in determining what happens and why in their own nation states.
So yes, Bretix and Trumps win will allow La Pen get at minimum a foothold in the door and the same may well happen in other countries. They may not win outright but the amount of people that will vote for them will give everyone a wake up call.
NF manage to get only one MP in parliament but he influenced British politics more than anyone.

Cassa.....There was a lot of debate about whether the BBC should ever have allowed this loathsome individual on to Question Time in the first place.
As as I am concerned, the Beeb were bang on nail here and his appearance on QT saw his fast decline back to underneath that log that he popped up from years ago.
Griffin was never an MP, only, briefly a MEP. and good riddance to him.
I don't expect anybody to support Griffin on here.

OP Martine Le Pen has a problem with the French 2-round electoral system. I expect her to win round 1. Juppe or Sarkozy will then be the likely opposition in R. 2. (Hollande seems bound to go out on current showing.) Anti-FN voters will then be united in voting against her. If Sarkozy is the opposition then she has a chance as he is widely detested and some people will abstain or vote for anyone who isn't him. Juppe presents a bigger problem.
Either way, she will do v. well and make obvious the serious splits in France.
Checked last night and odds are 2/1 against - ridiculously protectionist. So, yes, she could win but it will be chancy.

I don't know if Marine le Pen can win in France but whatever our politics we really should acknowledge that the western world is changing rapidly – and that’s because very real concerns about the negative effects of immigration upon our societies have for far too long been ignored. The ‘liberally’ minded who have imposed this upon the rest of us and who have no hesitation in dismissing genuine anxiety ‘bigoted’, ‘racist’ or ‘xenophobic’ have only themselves to blame. People will not be silenced forever.
