shame he was killed; he might have been able to give useful information about others.

Good riddance :)

Can't argue with you there, but to have captured him alive would have been better for German Intelligence people I am guessing.
pity he could not have been brought to justice..but good enough I suppose
Justice has been done. He is dead.
Gladeian - Justice has not been done.

He was a suspect in this crime, not tried or proven guilty, so no, this is not justice.

still running on this
just in case Mikey you wondered why you were the first to post it sort of seven hours after it happened
They seem pretty confident they have got the right man. Good job they didn't shoot and kill the first suspect which is what some may have understandably wanted at the time. On balance I think it's better that the ('suspected') killer is dead rather than giving him the chance to get more publicity.
I'd much rather he was alive and painfully wounded - so he could face the consequences of a proper interrogation and trial.

But "fingerprints match those in the cab and he opens fire on police in a routine check".

It may not be Justice (with a capital J), but looks like just desserts.

similar situation. Jimmy Saville was not tried or proven guilty. yet everyone says he's guilty as hell. seems like double standards to me.
He pulled a gun and shot and wounded an Italian officer. Seems a perfectly appropriate response. I think it was only afterwards they realised who he was.
hi Bam Bam yeah I make the point on the other thread

I would have liked this man to have been caught alive, not for some kind of "justice" but because he may have had other info that would been of some use to the authorities, such as other pending attacks.
Yes a pity to lose potential intelligence perhaps but we are all probably a bit safer as a result

Agreed Ichkeria.
They interviewd his Mum on the news this morning & I feel for her, I'm glad for the persons that have been killed / Wounded in Berlin this is a tragic justified end to a murderer. IS Up yours.

Milan? Open borders narrowed the search then. I'll shed no tears for him. Good.
divebuddy, snap!
Good job the 'routine stop' happened in a city where the Police are armed, if it had been a UK city chances are we'd have dead or wounded cops and the suspect still at large...
shame he was killed; he might have been able to give useful information about others.
