A couple of things here.

First - is Meryl Streep over-rated?

Second - does it concern you that the next President of the United States of America has a skin so thick that he feels that he needs to defend himself in this manner?

Are we now walking towards a time when the leader of the free world has the sensibilities of a 13 year old school child?

Why is he doing this?

Seriously...I know there are some on here revere Trump in the same way that they revere Katie Hopkins, Jeremy Clarkson and Tyson Fury - as being paragons as straight talking, but what on earth is he doing responding to this kind of criticism?

I wasn't aware of Streep's standing ovation for Roman Polanski. Bizarre and pretty awful. What was she thinking???

But she's still the greatest actress of my generation (by a clear country mile), and I think her condemnation of Trump was magnificent.

Good actress she may be but she is obviously no credible judge on telling people what is and isn't acceptable as far as morals go.. In short she is a massive hypocrite.

Unlike you, I don't feel the need to parade my credentials in order to put forward my point of view.

As I have said times without number - I do not need direct experience of anything in order to possess, and express an opinion on it.

Your proudly arrayed experience of the U.S. means nothing to me - I have a view about the back side of the moon, I doubt you have experience of that, and it matters about the same amount.
