One then has to ask, as a British citizen, why have you along with your family decided to live in America, especially when you were honoured with a knighthood?

There are millions of Britons living and working abroad, including many who have received knighthoods and decorations from this country. Do you think they should not be allowed to leave this country or should they all return home immediately?
Bet you don't moan AOG when he' winning golds for Britain ?
Money

Simple answer but true.
If he is a British subject with a British passport, what's stopping him?
Why shouldn't he AOG?
He lived in America before he got his knighthood didn't he? Should he be expected to move back now he's a Sir?
Or are you saying if they don't live in the country they shouldn't be awarded a knighthood which I guess is arguable?
It seems many (if not most) of those facing problems are those holding dual citizenship.

I pointed out in another question why this is not entirely desirable and suggested that it should not be permitted. Perhaps people should choose which nation they wish to hold citizenship of and then they would know where they stand. Quite why anybody would want to retain (say) Iraqi citizenship when they have been granted or qualified for US citizenship is a little puzzling. Perhaps they should reconsider.
Because the best training is currently in the U.S.

Mo Farah trains under coach Alberto Salazar at the Nike Oregon Project. This training centre is widely considered best in class. It offers altitude tents fitted around the beds of the athletes, long sessions on underwater and zero gravity treadmills.

When not training in America, Sir Mo also trains in other high altitude facilities.

The net result of this is that Sir Mo has won us a stack of Olympic medals. His knighthood should not preclude him from working abroad, especially if this means he gets the chance to work with the best in the world.

I'm pretty sure that Sir Mo isn't the only person to be honoured who does not live in the UK.
New Judge,

It's not really a helpful or useful response, though, is it? Because most governments do allow dual citizenship and have done for decades. It's not going to go away any time soon, so you can't just wish it did not exist and offer that as a policy.
I will never understand why folk get the "Sir" title for running fast, kicking a football, playing a piano or singing.
Yes, it has year round outdoor training facilities. The notion that all Sirs have to live in the U.K. Is childishly naive.
Luckily the so-far temporary restrictions which may or may not involve a man who can run quite fast for quite a while will not impact the search for a cure for cancer.
It may however impact sales of meat substitute, not an altogether bad result.

Odd though that the prez forgets his much vaunted roots as the product of immigrants when it suits him.

Dual citizenship is irrelevant. The ban is on those who are born in one of the countries listed by the Trump administration.

Sir Mo was born in Somalia (which was a British protectorate), but his father Mukhtar Farah was born in London. He became a British citizen at the age of 14.

I know that there are some who will trot out the whole 'dog born in a stable is still a dog, not a horse', but in respect to Sir Mo, I'd say he's very British.
News making for the sake of it, Mo is a British citizen and so why would he banned - for criticising Lumpy Trumpy? Me thinks not unless Trumpy is going to undermine the Constitution, an action worthy of Putin or Erdogan.

Isn't the overturning of part of the EO an example of his disrespect for the constitution, or at best an example of his lack of understanding of it?

Don't be ridiculous, what they shouldn't be doing is for them to use their privilege to moan to the British press on the way they are being treated by the country they chose to live in.

Knock on the White House door Sir Mo, and have it out with President Trump, perhaps being a Knight of the Realm, you could pull rank on him?
Knock on the White House door , he'll be lucky if he can get back into the country for a good while yet.

This has been given scant thought and I can envisage quite a few pulling out of the USA where they have previously contributed.
Why is it he has chosen to live in the US, AOG?
Does he not have the right to speak up for the hundreds of people who don't have the press's ear?
I would have thought he has a green card and if he does then he is allowed back to the US
