One has to empathise with them, the thought of a long missing daughter and now this, what can only be guessed an enormous legal bill to face?

what part of leaving 3 kids of such a young age alone in a foreign land in an unlocked flat do you noy have a problem with ? let's try the same in this country,,your feet would not touch the ground !! get a grip !!

I hate getting involved in entrenched discussions like this but, what have you done, as a parent, that had it gone wrong would have garnered the same criticism as the McCanns have received? If you say nothing, I would feel the need to cough loudly. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. How many sit in their back gardens in Summer while their children sleep upstairs, without locking the outside doors?
We were in San Francisco on holiday and wanted to eat in a fish restaurant, the girls wanted Chinese. We took them to the Chinese next door to the fish restaurant, talked to the staff, gave the girls money and went to the fish restaurant at a table with a view of the Chinese restaurant's door They were about 10 and 12. Right or wrong?

Dive for once and for all..the family was on holiday ..the parents CHOSE to leave the kids unattended in an unlocked flat ..one was abducted ..FACT..all the kids were not of an age to be left..FACT...NEGLECT !!!

the whole matter is so tragic and Madeline will never be forgotten in the annuls of history or by folks who care about the wee mite and what she went through....I regularly include her in my prayers and wish for her only peace...xx
