Anyone support a war to disarm Iran

It is predictable that the USA will seek the UKs help in phase 3 of its war against the axis of evil. Our govt will tell us that Iran is developing nuclear weapons and that they will use it against us via the terrorists. How many here will support such a war.

i have said this on here before....

why do you think no date is being set to bring troops out of Iraq ? theres no point in bringing them all the way home if you are on the doorstep of your next visit. Irans nuclear position is hardly new news, they were more of a threat to the west than iraq ever was.

cast your minds back to some of Con. Rices's speeches re Iran and not ruling out force blah blah blah.

I will never be persuaded that any war is just. I have lived with an Iranian and I have spent time in Iran - to me they are friends and family who just want to live their lives in peace and harmony. These people are mothers fathers brothers sisters etc, just like us British fathers mothers etc. They have not caused any wars since ancient times.

Ned Flanders  please do not be so flippant, it does not become you. You state that Iran supports terrorism? What do you support Ned? Is it fascism, hate against people that you do not know, who you do not understand, who you see as different than yourself, or do you really feel that they are a threat?

It is a worry to me how quick some of us will justify 'enforcement' on other nations. Do we never learn from history, western nations are suitably experienced at enforing their moral view but cannot be considered as competent! Can we not let the UN deal with issues of non compliance while the rest of us face the fact that the world will struggle long term with global warming, diminishing fossil fuels supplies and a lack of clean water. Let's not all fight over what few resources are left instead let's get on with finding answers to the problems (together maybe)! The sooner we see this as fact and not ideology the better, maybe then some day a few more of us can have the chance to actually get to know these people we are prepared to bomb the **** out off!!

diana.m I do not support anyone!  I am not a fascist I do not care about religion, and my response has nothing to do with religion so please do not put words into my mouth and make me out to be a muslim hater!  I would love it as much as anyone if we could all live in peace.

What I do not like is terrorism!  I have no gripe with the peaceful people from any walks of life.  But I do have a problem if countries are funding/promoting terrorism and hatred against others.

Personally, I'm completely against wars fought by the imperialist powers (most notably, but not limited to, Britain and the US) for, at least a dozen different reasons - most obviously, because there is no concept of self-defence involved - On a separate point, I wouldn't take seriously anyone who claimed to support it, either, unless they were willing to go fight the war themselves.... either it's for a good cause or it isn't right!?? Take a look at the service records of most, or all, of the hawks in the American Republican party and administration, and the right-wing commentators too, like O'Reilly, Limbaugh, Hannity, etc.... the ones who bandy around words like Patriotism!... none of them served!! Even if you want to go fight the war, doesn't mean I'll agree with you, but your argument would carry much more credibility than anyone who just wants other people to go die for the (oh, so good) cause.
