Its looking like the Tories won the Thanet South by-election by fiddling with the election expenses, so we could see Our Nigel back again
....8th time lucky perhaps !

There's an investigation going on, according to the Bolshevik Broadcasting Corporation, but as yet, no one's been convicted. I just thought that the Dutch election was a more pressing matter since it's only two days away and I just slipped it in as an afterthought?

The odd thing about this is that Farage was asked about this on the CH4 news months ago and he was very downbeat about the whole expenses thing.
Anyway, wasn't he caught coming out of the Ecuadorean embassy the other day. Presumably applying for a visa to go there and start afresh.
Or catching up with old friends ...

Ichy....I try to be fair, even to UKIP and Farage in particular !
If this investigation turns out to be successful, then its a sad day for politics here in Britain. These regulations are designed to make it as fair as possible for all Parties, especially the smaller ones.
Its obvious to me that when the Tories sent round their Battle Bus, then it couldn't possibly come out of the modest amount that each constituency Party was allowed to spend. Huge amounts of money as spent on hotel bills as well. The investigation by CH4 News has shown that to be the case. The recent program, last week has two Tory Party volunteers from Shropshire, who were on the Battle Bus as it toured around the West Country, and they both gave categorical evidence that they were there to support the local Tory candidate in every case.
