AB's very own tribute vigil. No sympathy for the dead and injured, but deep feelings for the trolled Muslim. Bless.
Islay
This is a matter of human emotional perception....and is a natural reaction.
World War 2.......all Germans were dangerous and killers.
Attack on Pearl Harbour....all the Japanese were rounded up and treated as the enemy.
The Irish got a bad name in the before the Peace Settlement...it is a defense mechanism.
No...all Muslims aren't terrorists, they just look like them.
I think she looked frightened, she is a Muslim and was probably afraid for a reaction. The person that annoyed me was the guy taking selfies of the injured!
Islay, if you're determined to think what you want to think, that's your prerogative.

That said, despite the Mail's headline, she wasn't actually 'trolled', was she.
Those seeking to jump in and accuse Islay of lying/making it up were wrong, togo. If they hadn't done that then the thread may have stayed more on topic.
There are many who deserve that title and should leave Twitter alone - Texas Lone Star is one.

I hope the vigil goes peaceably and uninterrupted and those involved gain solace from it.
fiction-factory, no one accused Islay of lying. Perhaps now the thread can get back on track.
I was simply answering the question!
Not nearly as bad as the chap that was taking a selfie amongst the carnage
There were other vigils too. I wish i could have gone to one. It's important to show solidarity, pay tribute to the killed and injured and show we are not frightened to gather in public places
//Many more if the hatred towards innocent muslims continue!//

The first post FF. Before anyone else had responded. Tone set would you say? The 4th post went on to focus the tone. Now call me old fashioned, but I can still spot a trend.

naomi- divebuddy said "Islay. Nobody called you a liar. But you did say she had been trolled. And that is not true is it. You made it up."

Maybe there is a difference between lying and making it up, but i am not sure I can see it.

I didn't know there was a vigil as I have just got back from the South West but I would have gone to that. Someone should have told Sadiq Khan to take his hand out of his pocket - sloppy
post 9-11 I was 'trapped' over here, family in the States....(Brits great to my fellow Americans).

As the towers came down, I booked up consecutive seats on Continental and managed to get confirmation on the first flight out on the Sunday. Came down from the Manchester area on the Saturday, had lunch with a Uni friend (and father to my godson) in the south Oxfordfordshire area, and then into London, overnighting with an early start to Gatwick, at the Churchill.

Coming down the Cromwell Road and just before the V&A, I spy an Arab in the full bedsheets and tea towel and thought, 'what a plonker you are, you are asking to be taken out.'

Re Sadiq Khan

//The mayor has also invited Londoners to come together tonight to pay tribute to the police officer and three other innocent people who lost their lives in yesterday's Westminster attack. //

9 am today.
In answer to the question, we don't know but the numbers will probably continue at around the current level unless there is some further big growth in terrorism related attacks. I recall a study showing terrorist related deaths in Europe have not changed much since the 1970s- the only change is that they are now largely IS (or Al queada last decade) rather than IRA, Basque separatist/ Barder Meinhoff

Oh, well. That's alright then. What a relief!
No, not all Muslims are terrorists. The problem is none of the "innocent" ones distance themselves from the terrorist activity thereby allowing hatred to build up.
