why are there so many brexit bashers and doom mongers over the uk's brexit, as far as there concerned it will be britians downfall and the end of the world, no optimism whatsoever.
i think it's because the cash cow will not give any more milk and they dont like it.

//I think, without being too disparaging, many are talking the UK down from a position of ignorance. //

I agree with NJ, but I think the reverse is true too and many are talking the UK up from a position of ignorance. Fortunately I suspect those making the decisions will be more balanced.

at least this thread isnt a train wreck - referring to last nights rather gormless spat which is now in the archive /rubbish heap

erm no - I think those making 'decisions' have said
" You see that wall over there ? " average voter (yeah )
" you want me to drive you into it at full speed or slower ?"
average voter ( yeah innit - full speed please )
and Theresa May has jumped ( back ) into the driving seat and said
'here we go !!! ' - vroom

and we are on the way ( that is not into the wall yet)
and the average voter is saying to Theresa
" yeah did is great did is - you good driver ! Gor deosnt this car go ! "
Oh nice to see - Mr Average voter saying

'yeah an dat ooman rights law - oh Lor' dat goes too - no more ooman rights yeah ! or no ! that is '

and a few people saying - that is a different treaty actually
and even some saying 'we are most probably stuck with that one'

amid the usual screams of 'no! yeah! no dat anymore ! no ooman rights ! I voted for that !' yeah ?
