There's to be a national minute's silence at 11am this morning to remember the victims and family of Manchester's attack.

Can I ask/request that as many of us as possible participate?

I found out last night that my husband's cousins wife and 12 year old daughter were there that night and are still in hospital, though thankfully it's nothing life threatening.

Certainly but should not need to ask
I didn't know about this. Thanks B00.
I will be sitting in a library at 11am, so a minute's silence is a bit redundant for me. I will, however, keep an eye on my watch and when 11am comes I will be thinking about your family, B00. I hope they're out of hospital and back with their loved ones as soon as possible.

Thanks Krom x

we aren't particular close to his cousin, but it was still a shock nonetheless, and we obviously wish they and others injured are home soon too.
I confess I cried with the mother pleading on television the other day for news of her young daughter. How awful! All those young lives. Simply unimaginable!

I cried on and off that day too Naomi- I cried along with Suzanna and Piers when they spoke to Olivia's mother on TV, then mortifying I shared a cry with an old lady at work (customer) who was equally devastated.
I didn't see Suzanna and Piers, but it was Olivia's mum. She was on the news. Words are simply inadequate. Heart-breaking. :o(
I dont mind admitting I shed a tear too, I find it very upsetting to watch.

Hope all goes well Boo.
Glad I came on AB and saw this. Thank you Boo.

Not usually given to feeling emotional about strangers, but I also shed a tear when I found out Olivia had died.
.
I'm on holiday and the minutes silence was recognised here. Hope your relatives well be okay. Such a traumatic event to feel with.
Sorry. On tablet, auto correct.
I observed it ... shame not all ABers did.
who?
I observed it BOO.
i was watching the wright show, but they downed tools so to speak for a minutes silence.
We observed it, of course. What sort of person wouldn't? Glad for you, Boo.
We observed it at work. A roomful of homeless guys...
Wishing a quick recovery to all who are in hospital.
I don't understand why anyone would think less of those that did not take part, if you did not manage to take part it does not make you any less of a person or any less sad about what has happened!
Hi Boo, yes here too on a bus with others x
