Dark Justice are certainly making good headway into this problem.
Their activities have led to 42 convictions and so far seen 21 men jailed.

I think a read of this may clear up some of the point raised such as entrapment and how they work WITH the Police : https:/ /darkju stice.c o.uk/ab out-us/
Ideally the Police would do it, but given they are stretched ticking checkboxes and diversity forms perhaps this is the next best thing.
i deliberately put vigilante in inverted comma's because they do work with the Police, they to not mete out any punishment, do not entrap and the way they work will not target paediatricians (unless of course one is grooming). To me this is just an extension of the voluntary policeman so perhaps more of this, under definite guidelines form the Police would help safeguard children, which any right minded person must have as a priority?

No one has said that at all, those that are against these vigilante's are probably more concerned with the law being followed to ensure that there is no way that the paedophile's wriggle off the charge.

I think it rather unwise to claim that it appears some would want the 21 men out of the street abusing people. It is certainly rude; and I think it comes close to libel. The question was whether vigilantes should be doing this, not whether folk want abusers running free. No one has made the remotest suggestion that abusers should be free.
It's rather simplistic to think that 2 bricks presumably applied to the testicles would stop abusers.
Re organisations such as 'Dark Justice' as I stated earlier, it can only be good they have removed and identified some of these awful people - however it would be good to see such supposedly well run outfits authorised by the Police and Courts.
That would prevent others becoming copycats and getting it badly wrong.
