Is It Time To Establish A British Gitmo?

Many below, including the left wing are advocating arresting suspects before they strike so is it time to utilise one of our many Islands and set up a camp starting with the 3000 that the security services have under surveillance?

I think so. I can’t see any other answer, apart from turning this country into a Muslim free one. And that’s never going to happen.
I also think that it should be made clear that if anyone turns out to be wrongfully interred, then only a small amount of compensation could be paid. Say, the equivalent to lost earnings.
I saw a man interviewed on BBC news yesterday. He was a journalist with 45/50 years of reporting on terrorism.
He said “no” to internment, and advocated gaining the trust of, and encouraging the wider Muslim community to come forward with information.
This seems like a very naïve idea to me considering they all follow the same basic beliefs, it could take years to happen, and you would never get 100% to cooperate. Whereas some kind of internment would immediately neutralise any potential danger.

If it is true (and I very much doubt it) that the majority of the Muslim community are just as appalled by these killings as we are, then surely they would be just as much in support of such a scheme as most of us would be.

The Government doesn't believe so despite Mrs May's speech at the weekend.
She stated the areas that need to be developed and internment wasn't one of them, which leads me to wonder what would it take to reach that stage or is she confident major inroads can be achieved with the resources being made available?

The answer will be either yes or no, depending of what type of society is aimed for. The answer is yes if the aim is to conduct operations over which the (civilian) courts of the land have no jurisdiction, which contradict a list of international conventions, etc. to which the country is a signatory, and if there is to be no care for rational objections (internal or external) or the taking away of the freedom of those who have no record of breaking the law plus knowing in advance that realistically the majority of those interned would never commit the acts which are (it is hoped)being prevented. If the aim is to enjoy a equitable, civilised society in spite of it not being paradise, then the answer will be no.
