As Sinn Fein don't take their seats, are they entitled to their salary/pensions, and, if so, do they take them? And as they don't take their seats, why do people bother to vote for them, as they then have no representation in Parliament?

I have never quite understood why they don't take their seats in Parliament and fight their case. As regards their salaries, I am not sure.
I have already said that I think they may well decide to take their seats if the Conservatives join forces with their arch enemy the DUP!
That will confound Mrs May's poorly thought out plan! could well lead to a return to confrontation and violence in NI as well!
No, they don't get paid by the government, according to their website.

I really can't see them taking their seats, as I'm sure they would never swear the oath of allegiance to the Queen
They have already confirmed they'll not be taking their seats yet they are calling for their MPs to be allowed the right to speak in the Irish parliament.
TheCorbynLoony: Sinn Fein members aleady speak in the Irish parliament, just not those not elected to the Irish parliament - i.e. Sinn feiners elected to Westminster from NI.
I know that, which is why I said MPs and not TDs.
TheCorbyLoon: Sorry, misunderstood.
