Someone organised the event and the DM claims it was Tommy Robinson. If he did plant the seed on the website he must have known that it would be well received and that would include unwanted elements...

Khandro, by the way, I remember commenting on that link you provided with TR and the professor.
I believe TR is capable of articulating some rational viewpoints and it would be unfair to dismiss him out of hand.
The trouble is, he is also capable of overstepping the mark which somewhat detracts from anything useful he has to say.
I just don't think he fully considers the negative impact some of his logic demonstrates.
Manchester being a case in point...

Well, he needs to be careful as here is an example of when things backfire:-

AG - as your link shows, there is real danger in these fools going around harassing innocent people because they think they have the right to turn up mob-handed at someone's door.
As you'd expect, the convicted man utterly fails to grasp what is wrong with what he has done, preferring to see a woman answer a door as an act of cowardice(!).
The HuffPost's comments pin down what a dangerous fool he, and people like him, actually are.

Khandro - I do not consider it wrong to organise a protest meeting but his message that it was essentially a silent rally failed to get across to many intent on causing trouble.
People who were clearly intent on making waves should have stayed at home.
They seemed to have forgotten the occasion and the messages of unity and hate.
Robinson himself clearly likes to take matters into his own hands as this further example shows:-
'In May 2017, he was arrested for contempt of court after he attempted to take video of the defendants in a child rape case outside Canterbury Crown Court' (wiki)

hereIam - //Oh andy I really couldn't give a stuff what you think about TR. I repeat I.like.him. and your lengthy posts are not going to change my mind one little bit ... //
I offer my opinion, as everyone does.
You flatter yourself if you think my opinion is offered in the hope that you will change your opinion.
My view of your post is pretty much identical to yours of my post - the difference is, I have the courtesy to accept your view without being rude about it.

AG - //It read: 'It has now been left to us, the ordinary people of the United Kingdom to stand up to hate, to unite and in one voice say 'no more'. //
Fine words - what a pity he knows that he doesn't mean it.
The 'ordinary people' are the ones who left flowers, signed condolence books, paid to the charities, attended the memorial show, and so on.
Robinson's people simply used this as an excuse to shout in the streets and draw attention to themselves, unable to simply be quiet and respectful, they have to yob about and cause trouble.
So - no change there.
