Demand feeding. When it cries.....feed it and that presumable is the only reason you would breast feed in public.
If one fed your child at "regular" intervals, would you go to the V&A just before feeding time? Yes, if you were an exhibitionist.
The only excuse i can think of for MS so and so is that she was demand feeding the child and the child demanded feeding whilst in the V&A.

The wee one is a year old until he is two surely? If he is nearer two than one, then each wee one could have been breastfed for about eighteen months.

The fattest babies I have ever seen have been breast fed. This one seems the same.
One can argue about an appropriate age to ween a baby but there comes a point when a child should not be breast fed.
Personally the latest is when they can walk around themselves. Any later and it is a case of some sort of attachement issue the mother has. After that the child has been conditioned to it so will be reluctant to stop the habit. Which in itself is a 'validation' for the mother's attachment issues so the cycle continues way past appropriatness.

This has always been the case in one form or the other...gossip, media, etc.....non of us "asked" to be born in any society, but we have,so get on with it. Judgemental attitudes in varying degrees will always be there and being born, race, colour, poverty, wealth, health will always be a lottery...........
