If a country welcomes you then you should do your best to become a good citizen of that country which may entail leaving some of your beliefs behind.
I'm not suggesting their own culture should be forgotten entirely, maybe just modified slightly in public.

Outspoken views that don't gel with the majority often encourage retaliation.
