//UK supermarket may have infected thousands with Hepatitis E virus from sausages and pork of EU pigs, researchers warn//

//Imported pork infects between 150,000 and 200,000 British people a year with the virus, the new research claims, and the products mainly come from Holland and Germany.//

Just a couple of the lines from the link.
Then.
//No one seems to have spotted that this is naff all to do with the EU.//
And
//Oh, do stop bringing rationality to a good old rant, ZM.//

Did you notice anyone ranting? Did you notice the rationale in the denial that it was an EU made problem?

Didn't realize that Holland and Germany had left the EU. Some reports say that it is only products bound for the UK. The main outlet is known to be one of our major supermarket chains, but as yet the name of the supermarket is being kept under wraps(but not hard to find) I will not post the name as it is perhaps asking for a reprimand, but it is them down to a "T".
I find that ad interesting as the pledge is around fresh meat but pork pies, ham and bacon are mentioned.

Some of the tabloids this morning are actually naming Tesco as the affected supermarket, specifically their "own brand" products. When will they learn? Glad we stopped shopping there after the last debacle.
They wont learn, this is exactly why they (the supermarkets) wanted to stay in the EU, cheap rubbish to mark right up and peddle to the gullible Brits.
I also recall not only exclusively British assorted e-coli outbreaks among the public and let's not forget the BSE triumph - all of it naturally the EU's fault, nothing to do with poor hygiene practices and poor judgement here together with mass production of food driven by a strong profit motive.
Looks like this has been going on since 2011, if The Sun is to be believed.

Unreal.

Yes Rocky, it looks as if it has been known about for years, just like the poisoned eggs scandal, but kept hush by the EU.The same people who made a huge fuss about US chicken washed in a chlorine solution. The same chlorine that they keep telling us is safe in our tap water. Didn't the EU, and France, in particular make a huge song and dance over the BSE scandal and organise the banning and movement of stock throughout Europe in days. Mind you it was a "British" disease so that would have been seen as an opportunity to undermine British farms and businesses. Meeh.
Togo, I've no idea what on Earth you were on about at 08:16, but it's made you look even dafter. If that's possible.

If you have no idea what I was alluding to, how can you then make a judgement based on it? Meeh.
I gleaned enough to know that your twisted logic that you used in trying to defend your condemnation of the EU, just made you look more than a little......befuddled. And that being kind.

Germany and Holland are in the EU, therefore the EU are at fault. Mmm.

Did you vote leave so that we could stop importing sausages? Yep, just about sums up most leave voters logic.

Have another look. Until your deliberately misleading post, that it was a "non EU" problem, I had only posted the op. Hardly a condemnation, and do tell us which of the points were befuddled. No......... Abetted by your "follower" you were trying to intimidate the posters who were rightly dismayed about the disgraceful state of affairs. Then again being in thrall of your Eu masters guarantees this. Bless.
Holy Moly. You is one confused hooman been.
